A contemporary bathroom at the foot of the Alpilles mountains, south of France
Type and location of project: Renovation of a bathroom in a 4-star hotel at the foot of the Alpilles mountains
Guideline: Located in a hotel**** at the foot of the Alpilles mountains, this project involved renovating and then giving a real identity to a bathroom of just 4M2, by creating three distinct spaces: a shower, a vanity unit and a dressing table.
In order to respect these constraints, our architect designed a refined, contemporary ambience around the main piece of furniture.
In addition to its aesthetic appeal and functionality, this 109cm wide unit offers a high degree of customisation. The metal structure (available in a range of finishes) is fitted with an integrated towel rail, so it can be perfectly adapted to different types of washbasin. The possibility of choosing from eight different colours for the ceramic washbasins (in this case blue) means you can create a unique, personalised bathroom identity.
The lower part of the unit has been transformed into a storage area by the addition of a 30 cm high drawer.
On the shower side, a large transparent glass panel has been installed to give structure to the space. It offers a beautiful perspective to this bathroom for a classic, contemporary style.
As for the taps, we chose a brass finish. Its pretty golden colour complements any style of decoration. In the bathroom, this copper alloy plays a very important role and can be worked in many different forms. In our project, we used it for taps, wall lights and skirting boards. Copper has the ability to develop a patina over time, adding character to your bathroom.
The former bidet area, specially transformed into a dressing table, adds a glamorous touch to this bathroom.
To optimise the storage space in our little hotel room, a niche has been placed in the shower, the main unit has a drawer for storing toiletries and the dressing table has a large work surface and two glass shelves.
Finally, to give the room its final identity, the main wall, part of which is located in the shower, has been covered with a floral wallpaper suitable for wet areas, a beautiful mirror with built-in shelving and a brass wall light.
A splendid result that gives a real identity and character to this small bathroom!
