The company has never stopped developing today offering large format slabs, reaching truly remarkable dimensions. The Maximum collection offers the possibility of slabs 300 x 150 cm, corresponding to 4.5 square meters, the largest format on the market, in very thin thicknesses (6 mm) and with a weight of only 14 kg per square meter. These characteristics allow infinite possibilities of application, in private contexts as in the contract.

Fiandre’s research has also focused on the eco-active materials Active Surfaces®, in collaboration with the Università degli Studi in Milan. These are materials with photocatalytic, anti-pollution, antibacterial and antiviral characteristics, the only ones with ISO certifications and with two European patents. When placed on an exterior façade, Active Surfaces® tiles can remove air pollutants before they can enter the building through the air intakes in the air conditioning system. If placed inside, they effectively fight the presence of bacteria and pathogens, thanks to photocatalytic properties, which work not only in the presence of natural light, but also with artificial light. These surfaces also allow less complex maintenance and cleaning, compared to normal slabs, with a clear energy saving and a lower environmental impact: for example, those placed outdoors are “self-clean” simply with rainwater.
